Philips launched #MayMagagawaKa campaign

Philips in partnership with World Wide Fund for Nature Philippines, European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines, and Deutsche Investitions -und Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH Bank started its campaign for saving energy. #MayMagagawaKa seeks to raise awareness and build urgency on energy conservation in the country.

It was officially launched last March 18 at Milkyway Cafe in Makati which was attended by officials from each companies, and bloggers. According to Fabia Tetteroo-Bueno said, “A power outage can be castatrophic for the economy.” The campaign will run throughout the year.

I’ve been frequently experience browouts before, and suffering from asthma, I need some ventilation. Without electricity, my mom makes sure that our power generator’s ready all the time.

Using LED lights in our home saves us a lot of money. At least 20-30% of monthly electrical bill, and by switching to LEDs can reduce home lighting energy consumption by 85 percent.

Limited edition shirts from Team Manila for #MayMagagawaKa campaign

 

Aside from this campaign, Philips collab with graphic design studio, Team Manila Lifestyle which they created limited edition shirts. They will give out prizes for their ongoing contest on their official Facebook page, in conjunction of the annual switch-off event for Earth Hour with WWF.
