Learn more about the ancient practice of Ayurveda and other wellness therapies this November 26 to 27 at the country’s 2nd Ayurveda, Yoga and Wellness Convention and Expo to be held at the Alberione Auditorium, Daughters of St. Paul, 2650 F.B. Harrison St., Pasay City, Metro Manila.
Spend two whole days learning about Ayurveda first-hand through teachers who came all the way from India. There will be seven experts: doctors of Ayurveda and Yoga who will give talks and workshops. During this event, participants can learn about wellness practices, obtain organic products, and enjoy healthy Ayurvedic meals!

Participants will also get the privilege of consulting with the doctors of Ayurveda and Yoga during the convention, AND on November 28 and 29, 2011 at the Panchakarma Center and Sandhi Ayurveda Clinic of the Missionaries of the East from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. This clinic is located at 628 Santo Nino St., Mandaluyong, where Father Jacob Gnalian, an expert in Ayurvedic medicine, currently conducts consultations and Panchakarma therapies for those who wish to try natural options towards health and healing.

The convention/expo will feature 100 illustrations about Ayurveda, explaining the origin and development of this very ancient science. Aside from this, there will also be 100 medicinal plants and 100 raw herbs on showcase. The doctors will help participants know more about these plants and teach them how they can use these plants to prevent and cure diseases on their own.

Participants also get a chance to win a scholarship for a short course on Ayurveda. This will be conducted from December 1 to 10, 2011 by the guest doctors from India. Cooking demos of healthy Ayurveda foods, as well as Yoga sessions are part of the weekend program.
Ayurveda, which translates to “the science of life”, dates back more than 5,000 years in ancient India. It is a non-invasive and holistic medicinal approach that is ideal for Pinoys who want to live a full, healthy, and well-balanced life. Combined with yoga, which focuses on keeping an individual’s energy in balance, Ayurveda can help people achieve total wellness and be on the path to holistic health.
