Last week, I’ve been searching for an app that I can read e-books and magazines on my free time. Upon checking on the latest apps on Google Play, there’s a Filipino-made digital bookstore called Buqo.

Buqo is an app which you can read your favorite books and magazines on Android and iOs capable devices.

They have a wide variety of magazines and books to choose from.  I was stunned when I saw Pol Medina’s Pugad Baboy, Bo Sanchez’s Shepherd’s Voice, Precious Hearts Romances, Summit Media, and Adarna Children’s Books on its category list.

How to use Buqo app on Android:

1. Download buqo for Android.

2. Register your details.

3. You can browse the title of the books or the latest issue of the magazine on the Category. 

4. Download your preferred books or magazines.

You can download the books and magazines for free. And also, there are some publications that you need to purchase it online. Buqo does have modes of payment for users such as online banking and over the counter payment options.

When I tried it out, I downloaded the Preview Mag’s April 2014 issue and a romantic novel, Table for Two. What I like about Buqo is that it’s user-friendly and you can read it without having a Wi-Fi connection.


For those of you are curious on what’s in store using Buqo,you can download exclusive items that a lot of you want to read magazines such as Red Magazine,FHM Philippines, Entrepreneur, Top Gear, and HWM and Esquire Philippines.

Other publications includes YES!, Cosmopolitan Philippines, Preview, Good Housekeeping, Smart Parenting. F & B World, Yummy Magazine, Real Living, Space Design + Travel, Elle Decoration Philippines, Men’s Health, Women’s Health and Runner’s World.

On books, I was delighted to see Liz Uy’s StyLIZed on Buqo. And for those young adults who are into reading love stories , you can read Mina Esguerra’s That Kind of Guy, Pop Fiction’s She’s Dating a Gangster and Summit Book’s Vince’s Life Series using Buqo.
