There was no stopping Zumba enthusiasts from all walks of life as they danced their way to a healthier lifestyle last Oct. 4 and 5.
The Feel Lighter, Go Further Zumba event, which was sponsored by C-Lium Fibre together with Live Love Party International, was a series of two Zumba sessions with international celebrity Zumba Instructor Loretta Bates. The first one was held in Bacolod last Oct. 4, the second at The Playground, Ronac Art Center in San Juan City, the following day.
Bates said that Filipinos are surprisingly good at Zumba, adding that the people here have strong spirit and are really enthusiastic about the exercise.
“Coming to the Philippines was really surprising for me because I didn’t know when I got here that Filipinos are really, really amazing dancers. Everybody here is so good,” Bates said.
According to her, what sets Zumba apart from other forms of exercise is that you don’t really feel that you are actually doing a workout, but you get the opportunity of losing about 600 to 1000 calories.
“It feels like you’re at a party and you’re just having so much fun. And then you realize after that that you’ve burned a thousand calories and you had fun doing it. For me, that’s the best part,” Bates said.
She added that more than 14 million people around the world are getting attracted to Zumba, emphasizing the significant role of Filipinos in extending Zumba’s global reach.
C-Lium Fibre supports events like this to emphasize its commitment in promoting healthy living among Filipinos. Likewise, the brand hopes to convince everybody that choosing a healthier lifestyle can be fun and exciting, too.
Nowadays, most people fail to get the body’s required 20 to 30 grams of daily fiber, which may make them more prone to diseases such as high cholesterol, diabetes and obesity. Continuous intake of C-Lium Fibre and regular Zumba fitness sessions is a good combination that can help one to achieve a healthier lifeslyle–so, you can feel lighter and go further!
Present during the event were former Pinoy Biggest Loser contestants Dianne and Tin Obsina, Mommy Osie, coaches Jim and Toni Saret, celebrity couple Regine Tolentino and Lander Vera-Perez, nutritionist to the stars Nadine Tengco, and celebrity Cristalle Belo.
