Last February 17, Google unleashed Android One in the Philippines which two leading partners, Cherry Mobile and MyPhone brought the smartphones in the country. It was held last February 17 at Whitespace Manila and was attended by the members of media, bloggers, Google executives and partners.
Just before the event, I am delighted to be part of its roundtable session with Google’s Vice President of Product Management, Caesar Sengupta, along with some of the best tech bloggers in the country. He was excited to show us the phones that are compliant to Android One hardware. And he also said under its program will be handling Android M that will be launch this year.
And if you guys are curious on these phones, Cherry Mobile One and MyPhone Uno will be available soon through retail stores in the country. Cherry Mobile announced right after the event that it will be available for P 3,999. On the other hand, MyPhone Uno will be available, with its price set at P 4,599. It was powered by the latest version of Lollipop! The Philippines is the sixth country to be included in the Android One program.
Meanwhile, Globe Telecom will be working with Android One users to enable better access to the Internet with its robust network. I can’t wait to post my review here on the blog later. I’m having a great time using the Cherry One for the past few days already.
