Over the course of its run 24 has been nominated for a total of 73 Emmy Awards. In 2006 the series won the Emmy for Outstanding Drama Series, and Sutherland collected the award for Outstanding Lead Actor – Drama Series. Originally premiering back in 2001, the show has garnered 12 Golden Globe Award nominations, winning for Best Television Series – Drama in 2004, and Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series – Drama (Sutherland) in 2002.

By the time its eighth season concluded in 2010, 24 had become the longest-running espionage-themed television drama ever.

As it returns to television this 2014, 24:Live Another Day looks to be another suspense-filled, pulse-pounding, fast-paced addition to the franchise with split screens and interweaving storylines. Set several years after the events of the previous season, 24:Live Another Day follows Jack Bauer, now an exile, as he once again puts his life on the line to thwart an unthinkable terrorist attack that could change the world forever.
